The fitness industry is out of breath
Representatives of the fitness industry are losing the shape they regained several months ago.
It cannot be denied that the fitness industry was one of the industries that was strongly affected by the effects of the restrictions introduced as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. As they loosened, she gradually but systematically regained her lost shape. In 2022, its representatives announced that the recorded results provide grounds for returning to the pre-pandemic condition. Nowadays, the situation has changed dramatically. According to data presented by the National Debt Register (KRD), the debt of this industry is around PLN 33 million. This is more than twice as many as two years ago. The number of debtors also increased significantly (by almost 22%). According to experts, this is the result of the growing costs of running a business, which are a heavy burden for smaller sports clubs. It should be noted that this industry is highly fragmented. The situation of larger entities, such as Benefit System or Medicover Sport, is better. Representatives of both companies declared this last year.
