Further problems of the Beer, Vodka and Wine Manufaktura Group
The fate of the alcohol business hangs in the balance.
Manufaktura Piwa, Wódki i Wina and the related Tenczynek Dystrybucja brewery have been facing financial problems since the middle of last year. The initiated restructuring proceedings were seen as a solution to the difficult situation. And indeed, at the end of the third quarter of 2023, it seemed that the situation of the first company was stabilizing. Well, its creditors voted in favor of accepting the proposed arrangement. The situation of the brewery was different. Failure to obtain the quota condition led to the non-acceptance of the arrangement. Currently, however, the situation of the Beer, Vodka and Wine Manufaktura seems uncertain. This is supported by the withdrawal last month of the investor – the company “Alkohole Kraftowe” and the decision taken by the Court a few days ago to reject the application to accept the arrangement. The head of the Beer, Vodka and Wine Manufaktura Group, Janusz Palikot, declared that he would appeal against the court decision.
