Talks between Energa and PKN Orlen regarding the merger of both companies are ongoing.
In March 2020, the European Commission gave consent to the Polish energy concern PKN Orlen to take over the Polish capital group Energa dealing with the generation, distribution and sale of electricity. Currently, talks are underway between the two companies focusing on working out an agreement on personnel matters for employees of the Energa group.
At this point, PKN Orlen already owns 90% of shares in Energa. The company’s goal is to build a large fuel and energy concern.
