Acquisition of Polska Press

PKN Orlen has obtained consent to take over Polska Press.

The Office of Consumer Protection and Competition (UOKiK) has approved the takeover of Polska Press by the state-owned energy company – PKN Orlen.

At the end of last year, PKN Orlen announced its interest in purchasing several dozen regional and local titles from the Polska Press publishing group.

It is worth recalling that a few months ago, PKN Orlen acquired 65% of the shares of Ruch, the main Polish press distributor.
