The Polish furniture factory went bankrupt

After 30 years, luxury furniture manufacturer Klose is closing its operations.

The financial condition of the Polish furniture factory located near Świecie was disrupted during the coronavirus pandemic. The problems became much more serious after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. As a consequence, the factory representatives considered taking corrective measures and started looking for an investor. Apparently this didn’t prove effective, as they stopped production less than half a year ago. Bankruptcy proceedings are currently ongoing.

It is worth noting that the scenario of the Klose factory’s mounting problems is largely consistent with the history of problems faced by other representatives of this industry. We have written about it many times (both in shorter texts and articles) and talked about it (episode 4 of the ResTrue Talks podcast.).
