Employment reduction at LinkedIn
The increase in revenues did not prevent LinkedIn from layoffs.
This year, LinkedIn representatives have already informed twice about the need to reduce employment. Now the situation repeats itself for the third time. Information has just been announced that nearly 700 people will lose their jobs. This means that even though the company has recently recorded an increase in revenues, they are consistently implementing the developed strategy. As representatives of the portal explain, it is a reaction to the change in the behavior of the portal’s users. Well, two related phenomena have been noticed. First, fewer people are looking for new jobs. Secondly, fewer companies are looking for new employees.
This is part of the trend affecting companies from the technology sector this year. Meta, Philips and Ericsson have already decided on mass layoffs.
