Arhelan under the control of Eurocash
The President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) consented to Eurocash taking control over Arhelan.
Arthelan is a chain of stores founded in 1991 in Bielsk Podlaski, with 100 stores. Currently, its stores are located in 65 towns, mainly in Podlaskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Mazowieckie and Lubelskie Voivodeships.
On Thursday, Eurocash received a notification from Arhelan that the internal restructuring process had been completed. It concerned the transformation of the legal form of Arhelan into a limited liability company, the transfer of its real estate to a separate entity and the transfer of shares in Arhelan to a sole shareholder. It was one of the conditions that had to be met in order to obtain approval for the transaction.
It is worth recalling that a few months ago a decision was made to transform the Tesco grocery chain into Netto. We wrote about it, among others. here.
